Hey everyone,

As you may or may not be aware, I'm heading to Indonesia tomorrow for an as of yet undetermined period of time. While I'm there, I'll be helping an NGO provide English lessons to children who cannot afford the lessons (among various other things including but not limited to: loafing on the beach, diving on reefs and chasing cool insects for fun as an entomologist).

I will definitely be back some time between now and September but until then I will not be able to play TF2. Actually, I'll be lucky if I have consistent electricity. Don't worry though, I'm not going to let petty things like being on the other side of the planet stop me from being involved in this wonderful community. I bought a smart phone specifically for this trip so I could keep in contact with the great people I've met here.

Other than that, I will still be involved in the admin process much like I was while away this summer. Each week I will be having a minimum of one phone call with both Locust and Dingo to discuss the server. If you guys have anything you'd like me to bring up feel free to drop me a line and I'll be happy to do it for you. Just remember that when you drop that line, my timezone will be 14 hours ahead of CST. :P

I'll miss you guys a great deal and fully expect you to kill many many foes in my absence. :)

With stability at last we have re-added some of of our old plugins. We have reintroduced the votescramble function as well as made some adjustments to the class limits. We have added a class limit to the the demoman and the soldier, 2 and 3 respectively. If you think this should be changed please discuss it on our forums (www.jupitergaming.net) under the 2fort subforum.

We thank you so much for your patience over this last month. Our new server provider alerted us to the fact that we've been exploited and DoS attacked the whole time. Essentially, the crashes for the last month have been the direct result of malicious actions by currently unknown parties. Their ips have been added to a general firewall and new security plugins have blocked current attacks. To give you an idea on the scale of these attacks, we logged at total of 111 DoS attacks yesterday alone.

Thank you again for not letting these people destroy what we have built here. We've been working hard behind the scenes to bring you guys a great playing experience and it finally seems to have paid off.
